It sets the stage for any content or activity deemed to be “harmful to minors” to be criminalized and policed in ways like you’ve never seen before. Sites like Wikipedia, the Internet Archive, and even social media apps are likely targets in the near future. Australia has already declared that major search engines will be age restricted in that country by the end of this year.
