Ask The Batemaster: Is This Bestiality?

Ask The Batemaster

…if you deliberately had actual sexual contact with an animal, that would be considered bestiality and unfortunately a different legal matter as well.

QUESTION: During this cold weather, while I’m masturbating under the covers, my cat climbs on top of me like I’m a mountain. Not sure he understands what I’m doing, but it even adds a little to my delicious enjoyment, maybe just in the sense of heart-warming. He purrs and seems happy about it. I have to wonder if this is what you call bestiality? Am I a twisted pervert?

RESPONSE: Based on your description, I would not call what you experience “bestiality.” You are not actually having direct erotic contact with your cat, so this response inhabits far more of a grey area than an opinion might occupy. It’s entirely possible that you cat does sense and appreciate that you are feeling good, hence his reaction.

A cat climbing on top of a person who is under covers likely has two general causes: 1.) the feline may be attracted to the warmth of the human body, especially in winter; 2.) cats know how to get the full attention of the people that belong to them. The cat I live with does pretty much the same thing. In fact, recently Willy spends much of the night sleeping on top of me.

My inclination is to encourage you to enjoy the fact that your cat clearly loves you, and also trusts you and knows you will not dump him off. It seems that you, like me and perhaps many millions of people, enjoy the feline tendency to walk up onto a human body shrouded by bed-covers, and march around until perhaps turning in a circle and then lying down.

Truth is, this can be a pleasant situation for both human and feline, and it seems to me that the combination of your masturbation with the mountaineering of your kitty cat is circumstantial, and perhaps even emotionally rewarding mutually between species.

Yes, if you deliberately had actual sexual contact with an animal, that would be considered bestiality and unfortunately a different legal matter as well. This means that traditional practices of animal husbandry that involve breeding might be questioned also. How humane is it actually to keep female animals confined for breeding, and to separate the mothers from their young?

Your experience of winter mornings actually sounds quite innocent and good-hearted to me. Kindness towards all creatures, including our fellow humans, is an important source of joy and enjoyment for human beings. Likewise, to keep in touch with your animal nature in terms of loving to masturbate your penis is a healthy, wonderful, life-enhancing thing.

Most likely there are many humans and kitty cats harmlessly enacting similar patterns of behavior around the globe.

How Bruce P. Grether became the Batemaster

Among his earliest memories, Bruce recalls seeing an adult man’s penis swing about anchored in a nest of curly brown hairs when the man was changing clothes. That penis fascinated him and he somehow knew it was of major importance. He also remembers how good it felt to slide down a stairway banister or to climb a tree with pressure between his legs sending delicious sensations all through his body.

At an early age, he played doctor with another boy his age, and the frottage he enjoyed as they rubbed their penises together made him feel One with All Things.

He was older, maybe 9 or 10 years when he figured out how to actually masturbate while taking a shower. Immediately Bruce became a fan of self-pleasure, though, with puberty, he became extremely shy about his body being seen. Still, when his pubic hair sprouted and his penis grew bigger, it astonished him how incredible the sensations could feel with adult genitalia.

All through his 20s and 30s Bruce loved masturbating and did it often. Something kept tell him though, that there could be more to it. None of the books he read about Tantra and Taoist erotic cultivation provided simple how-to instructions. Finally, in his early 40s, he came upon Joseph Kramer’s video about male genital massage: FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN.

Having no playmates to try this with, he tried it on himself. In the process, he discovered what he soon named “Mindful Masturbation.” For 6 weeks he masturbated for hours every day, and did not ejaculate once! This was the Penis Paradise he had been looking for since his adventures playing doctor as a young boy. He was changed forever and lost most of his shyness and insecurities.

Bruce began to listen deeply to whatever his penis told him. This way he learned more and more about male masturbation, the penis, and he studied human sexuality. Soon he was hired to write professionally for the sex education site JackinWorld (dot) com, which he did for some years under the name “Bruce McFarland.”

Since then, his erotic activism is more radical and he uses his actual given name: Bruce P. Grether, AKA the Batemaster. He has hosted workshops and now does online masturbation coaching. In 2012 his best-selling book THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN PHALLUS was published and with his handsome young friend Blue Tyger he created the Erotic Engineering site to explore advanced male self-pleasure practices.

Bruce considers himself a Missionary of the Male Mysteries and his work continues.

  1. I practis ee estim all days and is great, Try not to com for having a good response next day. But… at night can not sleep because nocturnal tumescence and sometimes I must to jack off till cum if a want sleep more. mMay be shouldn’t I do it and reserve my cum day after day? Will it, that big excitation by night, I mean, will it get better?

    1. I don’t practice estim, so I cannot speak from experience, but perhaps anything that you do all the time could become a bit too much. I know men who say they love estim, but that they feel it’s better to take a break regularly, instead of doing it all the time. Something always true is that sleep is very important. Maybe you ought to just ejaculate sometimes, if it helps you sleep. To retain semen is an art and for the best experience requires training in Mindful Masturbation.

  2. Our cat likes to visit at bed-time, or nap during the day in nest of unmade bed clothes, but as soon as I start to jack my cock, he always scampers away, even if he’s curled up at a far corner of the bed. Maybe he’s jealous of a male that still has testicles?

    1. I think your interpretation is quite possible, my friend! Still, I’m all for responsibly neutering pets… though of course, men like us ought to massage our balls often (among other parts!) as this is also good for beneficial testosterone production!
