QUESTION: Hey, Bruce, I’ve heard you say that the Moon is somehow connected with the penis and masturbation. Sorry, I haven’t read your GOLDEN PHALLUS book (yet!) and maybe it’s in there, but with all respect, this sounds a bit weird and woo-woo to me! Can you explain?
RESPONSE: You may have noticed that the Full Moon seems to drive people a bit crazy, hence the word “lunacy” and you may find it harder to sleep around the Full Moon. Is this only because it’s brighter at night? Maybe there’s more to it, as police and ER logs reveal peaks of activity around this time of the lunar month. Also remember that your body has a high percentage of water in it and the Moon controls the tides as they rise and fall, ebb and flow.
Many traditional cultures recognized correspondences between human bodies and behavior and aspects of the natural world, such as the Sun, the Stars, day and night, and yes, the Moon. So, first of all, look at the head of your penis. If you are intact, uncover it from the foreskin. See how that bulbous “mushroom” shape bears a general resemblance to the lunar orb?
Consider this set of correspondences: imagine your body as a map of the cosmos you live in. Your heart resembles the Sun, always beating in your chest; your navel is like the Earth, where you are anchored to the place of your birth; your penis parallels the qualities of the Moon. Like the Moon that orbits Earth, your penis relates to the central point of your navel. Just as the Moon gets its light by reflecting the Sun, your penis is powered by blood pumped from your heart. Your penis also resembles the Moon in that it is forever waxing and waning, with each cycle from flaccid to erect and back. It rises and falls, ebbs and flows, like the tides.
If you have a foreskin, or can watch someone who does, uncovering the head of the penis, covering and uncovering it again, see how the shapes revealed and concealed resemble the phases of the lunar cycle? These are similarities and correspondences the ancients noticed not just over centuries, but over thousands of years. For example, Lord Shiva, the only phallic deity still honored since antiquity, bears a crescent moon on his head. The crescent represents the rim of the penis head, by its similar shape.
There are many, many ways in which your own penis can be understood on various levels as having lunar qualities. This operates through what is called the “Theory of Correspondences,” which states that things operate on various levels, in various realms, not exactly the same way, but with similarity that can connect them and give them meaning.
This too, is a huge subject, but I hope these comments have shed a little bit of light on the subject, even if it is silvery moonlight!
A note from The Batemaster: I’m honored that the guys at Bateworld have asked me to respond to some questions from male masturbators around the world every week.

Thinking and reading about about the science of tides – https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/education/tutorial_tides/tides02_cause.html
The attraction of the moon doesn’t have anything to do with with the amount of sunlight that gets reflected from it, but at full moon sun and moon are on opposite sides of the spinning earth and their effects act together to get bigger tides, At new moon they are on the same side and also work together. The effect is to counteract the earth’s gravity which is a much stronger force – so it’s not some much that sun and moon are attracting the oceans, but that the net gravitational effect is less letting the water bulge out slightly. It seems unlikely to me that this tiny difference in gravity is even perceptible to the human body, particularly since we move around and the push and pull effect different organs depending on our orientation.
Yet there is something powerful about bating under the light of the full moon!
